Does deconstructing missile silo erase missiles?

Hello, does anyone know if; you deconstruct the missile silo does it destroy the missiles stored in the silo? cause I have missile silo lvl 10 on each base and have 100 anti ballistic missiles in them but now want interplanetary missile; does it delete the missiles in the silo if it were lvl 0 for instance?

Wouldn't it be easier to get somebody to launch IPMs at you, make some room and then build your own IPMs? Either that or upgrade the silos a couple of levels each.
