I remember hearing that if someone attacks you for a moon shot, if you recycle it, it's against the rules. If someone attacks you as an act of war, if you recycle it, is it against the rules if you are collecting your ships from an unscheduled attack?

Of course not! Doing so for moonshots is illegal, because it is considered a violation of the pulling/milking rule. But taking Debris from an attack made on you is in no way a violation. If it were, there would be SO many people being banned on a regular basis.

Wait- recycling the debris from a moon shot is only a violation if you keep it and don't return it to the sender. Additionally, if you're trading shots with another player using identical fleets, you can keep the debris field as long as the other player does as well.

Oh, I'm not doing a moon shot. I was threatened with attack and was wondering if I was attacked if it was alright for me to collect the debris.

I kind of figured that. Asking a stupid question gets unkind answers.

And peoples debris isn't worth the trip to go get unless its from one of the top player fights, but then I would be dead.

It is worth the trip if your recyclers reach the debris before it disappears.

Not is it is a 4 hour trip there and back for only 300 debris.
