Has anyone a formula for percentage chance RIPs blowing up on unsuccessful MD mission?

Following topic is useful, but does not lend itself to intuitively computing odds:

Certainly very useful (and thank you!). I'm hoping for the formula behind calculations, however.

If I remember correctly, it's something simple like (size of moon÷200). I don't think it matters how many RIPs there are.
