A moon is created immediately at the time of the attack. There is no accumulation of the debris field from multiple attacks to form a moon. It either happens or it doesn't.

The 1667 light fighters is the minimum number of ships to create the maximum chance of getting a moon (20%). A moon can be formed at 1% chance but it will have less total fields.

Recylers are used to collect a debris field. They will not help you build a moon. That happens by chance and chance alone.

I see...

I sent 10 heavy fighters 4 large cargo ships 11 light fighters.
Only 2 large cargo ships returned. On the debris it say's 0.1% chance of creating a moon. Or something like that. I forgot the complete details.
But I bet somebody else has seen a debris with a different pic. The one with a green around the the normal pic of a debris field.
That gave me the idea of the accumulated theory.
I was wrong I guess.

Thanks for the clarification Slash.

It's fine. They would learn about it if they use espionage ships.
But then they would see a lot of cargo ships. :P

People from vengeance attacked me a couple of times. Then I figured building defenses is pretty useless right now.
Fleet save is still the best option for me.

I've seen the number 1667 LF floating around here a few times as the magic number for a 20% moonshot. Remember though, that ZorgEmpire ships require different amounts of resources. Therefore, I think the magic number here will be 2222 LF to get a 2 Meg DF for a 20% moonshot.

Your mileage may vary.
