Hola
i was wondering if anyone has figured out the calculation for ship speed and distance yet. i currently have combustion engine tech 7 and getting 8 (will update with time). but it takes a L.C. more than 8 min. to reach the planet next to the one that has deployed it to transfer simple resources to the next one. so what is the time difference and what level of combustion engine would i need to say get it down to like 2-3 min.
Re: Ship Speed Calculation
#2The Combustion Tech says that it improves ship speeds by 10% of base speed each level.
So if you want to go from an 8 minute transit at combustion tech level 7 to a 3 minute transit, that would require:
n = (8/3 - 1) / 10% + 7 combustion tech
= 23.6 combustion tech.
Since the cost of researching each level of tech doubles, that technology is pretty much economically unreachable.

Re: Ship Speed Calculation
#4Combustion engine ships increase their speed in the lowest percentage intervals of the three engine types. You will probably see BCs reach that speed before large cargos. My Destroyers already outpace my large cargos.

#5The battle simulator for the <Insert Game name here>, is the Flight time calculator on that site accurate for Zorg, as well?

#6I doubt it, times are different in speed universes.Urweirdsaysi wrote:The battle simulator for the <Insert Game name here>, is the Flight time calculator on that site accurate for Zorg, as well?
