Ok, so i searched the forums to the best of my "interest" as to what extra points in technologies such as laser, plasma, and ion do functionally... and found it does nothing other than boost your research score?

so is that true? also, are there any "actual" plans to do something with them? non of this, "wouldn't it be cool if" crap. for you players who are probably sick of seeing topics like this, I am sorry.

but if at a later date there was a change people who levelled up without realising this will have a little advantage

looks like it was designed to be a little open ended (crosses fingers) Anyways, at the least it builds up your tech score.

Hmm. Maybe I will be able to use my lvl 10 expedition tech in the future, of course right now it's a waste of res. to level expedition up.
