So I'm trying to figure out what the best strategy for defense is in this game. but nothing seams to be consistent. The stats for ships and defense in the combat report don't match with what they say they should be in the tech screen even after compensating for tech upgrades. And also some things seam to be effected by upgrading weapons, shields and armor, while others are not.
Is there some list of FAQ of what is going on here? or am I just going bat crazy?

#2The combat system is still being debugged so things might seem a little weird until it's fixed

#4I did read that rapid fire is currently not in effect. so I've started to "adjust" my defenses to compensate. I know what ratios I should use if they were working. but since rapid fire isn't up and running and I can't make heads or tails of the numbers what does one defend with? a couple tens of thousands of light lasers mixed in with 50 or more plasma cannons?
and is there some for of log of the debugging process, and plans of what it will look like when it is up to par?

#5i think good ratio for building defense is
1 PC : 3 GC : 12 HL and 12 IC : 24 RL : 48 LL
so if you had 100 PC you would have 4800 LL
but part of me thinks it is better to build ships rather than defense and just have enough defense to stop resources being raided

#6those ratios would be nice IF Rf were implements, but since it is not...i really wouldnt worry about PC very much at all, maybe a 1:1000 ratio of LL, its more efficient to have a higher missile silo to protect a lighter defense with a higher quantity of defenses than quality of defenses atm. Personally I wouldnt waste teh resources on plasma's unless you had your mines built up pretty high (28,25,22 min). Until then, the LC you use to FS is much cheaper than the 25k deut for a plasma. Until then, I would focus on LL and IC's and put whatever metal left into RL, if you were building a turtle. If not all resources into buildings and research, then FS the rest for tomorrow.
