#12I know
Its been a while since I saw him. Long while, actually. Though I THINK I remember hearing about a somewhat recent fight of his, but he lost it, too.

#15I don't know. Machida's style is very difficult, but Rashad seems to be growing by leaps and bounds every fight. It will be interesting to see what Jackson comes up with for Rashad for that fight. Lets see if Rashad can keep up with Machida's RIDDUM.Sadbutrue wrote:You should keep your eyes open tho Evans is about to get whooped by Lyoto Machida

Re: MMA Discussion
#17If you're talking about who I THINK you're talking about (Machida, I mean) then I don't really know who to root for in that fight.
I've seen Machida (Once again, if its who I'm thinking it is) fight a couple times and he IS good. But Evans, like Khan said, is always improving. You can never count him out, because it seems like he always pulls something out.
Personally, I'm psyched for the next Liddell (Spelling? I always forget whether the 'd's and 'l's are double or not.) fight. He is by far my favorite fighter, but he hasn't been doing very well recently. I don't think he is going to be retiring, but I'm not so sure as to whether or not he'll get the title back. New talent is just FLOODING into UFC, and Liddell, if he doesn't change up his tactics, is doomed to get trampled.
While on the topic of retiring, is Couture retiring for sure now or what? I think I remember him saying he'll be retiring after he lost to Lesnar (...) but hes "retired" a few times, lol.

Re: MMA Discussion
#18Machida is very good. Evans is more seasoned than some people give him credit for, but I am not convinced that he has the steel of a champion yet. However, I do see him as somewhat of a wildcard who has a ton of potential that has just begun to crystalize into talent. It will be a great test for both fighters.Sadbutrue wrote:hahaha Machida is untouchable he will make Evans look like an amateur
Machida has made some guys that looked like they had good striking look really bad.
Still, I will go with Evans and the upset (haven't seen the odds yet, just guessing).

Re: MMA Discussion
#19Yeah, I think ya got Liddell right. If this fight took place 3-4 years ago, it would have been great. Shogun was red hot in PRIDE and Liddell was king of the UFC. However, Shogun hasn't looked nearly as good since his knee injury and Liddell is losing the battle to father time. I am not sure Chuck is going to be a legitimate threat to the title even if he changes his style/tactics.Urweirdsaysi wrote:If you're talking about who I THINK you're talking about (Machida, I mean) then I don't really know who to root for in that fight.

As far as Couture, I am not sure. The last I heard they were trying to get together a fight with him and Big Nog.

#20i dont think the champ is ever the underdog in fights. Machida almost did not even get the shot. if Machida is the underdog i would bet the house on him if i was a betting man
