I just recently came across an interesting fact. Scammers and hackers etc. have gotten sneakier these days. How so? by using what are called DOUBLE file extensions. An example of this would be blahblah.txt.vbs, and anyone who is savvy with file extensions can immediately identify .txt as a text file most likely written with Windows Notepad or Microsoft Wordpad and .vbs is a visual basic script. Hackers and scammers attach something like .vbs to the end of a common file extension, like .txt in the example here. The .vbs file often goes unnoticed and the minute you open the file the script begins to run automatically and boom you're toast.

Also, I recently found out that websites ending in .co.cc are based in the Cocos Islands in the South Pacific and are famous for being infected with malware and spam, and very popular amongst scammers.

So in essence, AVOID OPENING ANYTHING WITH MORE THAN 1 FILE EXTENSION!
