Movie Name: A Prophet Un prophète (original title)
Year of Release: 2009
Language: French (English Subtitles)
Genre: Crime, Drama
Casting: Tahar Rahim, Niels Arestrup
Director: Jacques Audiard
Review: Plot: A young Arab man is sent to French prison where he becomes a mafia kingpin. In the process the movie describes the mafia syndicate and the organized crime of that region.
What was striking was the simple portrait of all the characters and a very smooth screenplay. If you are interested in indi movies this might intrigue you. Fans of Godfather trilogy might specially like the movie for its simple and lightly focused portrayal of scene.
The movie contains a few interesting twist that i liked.
Hope you like international movies....

Movie Name:
The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Year of Release:
2005
Language:
English
Genre:
Crime, Drama, Thriller, Horror
Casting:
Jennifer Carpenter, Laura Linney, Tom Wilkinson
Director:
Scott Derrickson
Review:
Plot: A lawyer takes on a negligent homicide case involving a priest who performed an exorcism on a young girl (Emily Rose). Revealing some of the scientific explanations and the psychotic behavior of the Emily Rose.
After Exorcist this is the best horror movie i have seen so far. Damn the acting for the girl on carpenter's part was superb. Btw she also starred in the series Dexter as dexter's sis.
Horror movie with class ....
PS: no ghost zombie gore stuffs.

Movie Name: The Other Guys[/i]
Year of Release: 2010
Language: English
Genre: Comedy
Casting: Eva Mendes, Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg
Director: Adam McKay
Review:
Plot: A pair of underdog cops strive to solve a stock market felony against enormous odds.
This move is just not worth the money...it had its funny parts here and there that made me laugh out loud in the theatre, but most of it was "wow...that was dumb".
Don't waste your $9 (or however expensive it is where you live).

Movie Name: Defiance
Year of Release: 2005
Language: English (British)
Genre: Action, Drama, History, Thriller, War
Casting: Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell, Alexa Davalos
Director: Edward Zwick
Review:
Plot: Jewish brothers in Nazi-occupied Eastern Europe escape into the Belarussian forests, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and about 1,000 Jewish non-combatants.
If you like not so flashy movies this might be it. Not really evolving around the central character rather emphasizing on the total picture.
Good history look up. Btw, Jamie Bell is staring in the Tintin the movie as Tintin himself.
