If you so choose to utilize the $50 words for dummies, please understand that simply applying them without regard to knowledge of the subject leaves your viewpoint open for debate in itself. It was quite obvious that you, and others, interpreted his "if you have any questions about the bible" comment as an open invitation to attack or debate the validity. Please, Raiders, correct me if I am wrong, but MY interpretation of his intent was to get a better understanding of God's word so it can be understood and applied to our lived to be better connected and better followers of his Word. However, this post has turned into a "how can I rip the other guys ideas apart" as is most. If I am wrong about this, please let me know I am wrong Raiders.
so first question.. why the personal attack on my use of vocabulary? I really don't get why you have to use personal attacks when this is not even your thread...
As for your statement on the knowledge of them.. feel free to explain to me when I used any of my words incorrectly. As I teach, I usually make any and all attempts and having my students use new words and attempt to allow themselves to be educated in the context of every day usage rather then use slang to communicate.
...as far as interpretation, I did not do any such thing. I don't interpret when it comes to text. The words say exactly what they say. No intent. No interpretation. He wanted to get a good talk going and I agreed and still do agree with him. I think that more dialogue SHOULD be had about everything. Last time I read through this subject Raiders made no attack on anyone and simply stated his viewpoint and how he believed. He simply wanted to talk to others about this subject.
Now, I am have to wonder why in Raider's thread someone, by the name of Spankie, is attacking others (personally) and their viewpoints... which I might add, mine own personal have never been stated so how you can even ATTEMPT to know what I agree to, think, or believe is quite unfathomable.
