I have been looking for a "follower of Christ". I appreciate that Gale was not afraid to tell how she felt. I had a positive response. Or, at least I think it was. See, there are some good Followers of Chrsit out there.

I'd have to say that's a common mistake. Carry on with your Gospel discussion.

It's alright ^^. The majority of the people who play this game are male - so that mistake has been made many times. And yes, it was a positive response.

If anyone wishies to know why I am Anglican, it is simply this.

I believe the only way to be forgiven of my sins is by follow Jesus Christ, he has sacrificed himself for all of our kind and allowed us to speak to God freely without the need of a High Priest, Christ is the way of my life and of my morals leading everyday helping me stay with my faith as best as I can. That is why I am Christian, because Christ our lord is out ultimate sacrifice for benefical and everlasting life. The Lamb Who Was Slain Has Begun His Rein Forever And Ever AMEN!

Gale, I am sorry. I will change it. See, I do not care what religion you are in, anyone can go to heaven. As long as you believe in Jesus Christ and are Saved, you are as well as already there. I am a Baptist. But, just because someome is different, I do NOT judge people.

I am going to start some of my own debate within this fantastic dialoge...

Raiders, no you havent ticked me off, I just come across in a strong manner normally. What does tick me off is people using this forum to distort your original intent.
The intent of this post was to get some "good talking" going on..
raiders wrote:I know that I might get some rude comments. I thought that there are some very good christians out there in the game. If you have a question about the Bible or anything, be happy to post here. I truly believe that someone will post something to get a good talk about gospel going on...
God bless you all...
I, for one and possibly many, enjoy discussions like this looking at all possibilities from both sides and from all vantage points such as analytical, logical, spiritual, ethical, and moral. My personal views actually accommodate both sides of most people's views on this subject because of my own beliefs and experiences.

I would honestly like to see more discussion about personal beliefs and why you believe that way as opposed to more diatribe.

Gale wrote:I have had many people ask me if I'm religious. Let me clear this up...

HECK NO...I'M NOT RELIGIOUS. Allow me to explain. When Christ came to Earth, he despised the religious teachers who thought they knew everything. He proved them wrong because they tried to tear him down by telling the public that a son of God could never exist, and that the teachers should be the ones that the people should follow.

Also...many ask me if I'm a Christian....

First of all, the word "Christian" didn't exist until they translated the Bible a few times. Also, the word Christian has become a word that brings up more negative thoughts than positive thoughts in people's minds. I used to consider myself a Christian until my youth leader said, "Titles don't matter. Religion doesn't matter. It's whether or not you choose to follow, love, have faith and a personal relationship with Him." I simply tell people now that I am a "Follower of Christ". He is my rock, my shelter, my leader, and my savior. He's saved me from physical death twice, and emotional death uncountable times.

I apologize if I've changed the way some of you look at me. But, I am MORE than proud to say that I have a powerful and loving relationship with my Lord
.
If you would be so kind, can you elaborate on the physical death portion of your posted subject?

The intent of this post was to get some "good talking" going on..

The intent, if you actually read and not just pull out the parts you want or like, was to get some good talk about the gospel. And teh OP has consistantly stated his intent to answer questions on the gospel, but not in the form of debate. I dont see why this cant be respected. If a topic for discussion on pro/con or however you would like to see it is what you want, start another thread and leave this one to general discussion and congregation of those that wish to actually keep it in that tone. That is my opinion anyways.

As I told raiders in a PM, I do not place any "intent" or "emotion" into text as there are zero non-verbal cues and minimal emphasis that can be interpreted in a variety of ways. If he simply wanted to have people ask questions and then answer it with no back and forth then maybe he should have stated as such in the open post so that people such as myself do read this entire post and actually think he wanted to have an intelligent conversation about why people believe the way they do and about the bible, the church, the gospel according to God, etc..

A debate, by the way, is defined as "a discussion" which is another word for talking, WHICH is exactly what raiders asked for in his open post.

If raiders wishes to not have me participate in this post all he has to do is ask and I would gladly refrain from participation.
