Then, Israel made a " Foolish Vow". They gave a sworn testimony before the Lord. They broke their promise to God. Therefore, they had to pay for their sins. I hope this makes it a little clearer SadButTrue. I am trying.

the so called "warriors" who slaughtered those people were evil pure and simple and cannot be justified in anyway

let he who is without sin cast the first stone.... who said that?
he didnt justify the actions...learn to read. As a matter of fact,he showed that this was NOT what God wanted and they were punished for it. If your going to comment dont just take the stand that everything raiders says is false, READ FIRST.

God said that. But, there is no one without sin except for God. It is when a woman was caught in adultrey. Sin has to pay. Israel was the ones who were the evil ones.

Well acctually the Iraelites were not evil, they just were miss lead and took the saying of Jesus the wrong way. In no way were they evil. Example: "Tear this temple down and I shall rebuild it in three days." What Jesus meant by that was if you were to kill him he shall be resurected in three days (which happened), the Isrealites thought he was telling them to destroy their temple in Irael and that he would rebuild it in only three days. That missunderstanding was one of the leading causes of Jesus's crucifiction.

Raiders, no you havent ticked me off, I just come across in a strong manner normally. What does tick me off is people using this forum to distort your original intent.

I do not have good vocabulary Spankie. What do you mean distort? I think you mean the way people... hmmm.... manipulate this topic? They talk about things that are not gospel. That is the best i can get.

I have had many people ask me if I'm religious. Let me clear this up...

HECK NO...I'M NOT RELIGIOUS. Allow me to explain. When Christ came to Earth, he despised the religious teachers who thought they knew everything. He proved them wrong because they tried to tear him down by telling the public that a son of God could never exist, and that the teachers should be the ones that the people should follow.

Also...many ask me if I'm a Christian....

First of all, the word "Christian" didn't exist until they translated the Bible a few times. Also, the word Christian has become a word that brings up more negative thoughts than positive thoughts in people's minds. I used to consider myself a Christian until my youth leader said, "Titles don't matter. Religion doesn't matter. It's whether or not you choose to follow, love, have faith and a personal relationship with Him." I simply tell people now that I am a "Follower of Christ". He is my rock, my shelter, my leader, and my savior. He's saved me from physical death twice, and emotional death uncountable times.

I apologize if I've changed the way some of you look at me. But, I am MORE than proud to say that I have a powerful and loving relationship with my Lord
