I have a theory that fish are really spies for the governments of the world. I mean, come on, all they do is sit in a glass bowl (which I believe would amplify noise vibrations) and look at you, with that vacant expression on their faces. Then they telepathicly transport information back to "The Man" and die. The perfect informant. No one suspects a fish.
