so by that definition the blade must be thin, well guess what each of the buckets on that piece of mining equipment is the size of a truck and I'm not talking about a wimpy little Ford either. Therefore I am forced to conclude that it is not a saw.

About the saw thing: Those are actually buckets, not a serrated blade. Looks awesome nonetheless.
