It's so hard to find a good Aramaic translator any more.

As a counter-point to Gale's testament to faith, I was a soldier in some fairly bloody and horrifying incidents during the late 70's and early 80's. My life was threatened to the extreme on numerous occasions. I am not ashamed to say that those times made me question my beliefs. I don't think God's plan included the use of automatic weapons on small children and elder folk. But He sure did allow a lot of it to happen.

Because of that no good arabic translators maybe there were a few mistakes in what the ORIGINAL bible said

Arabic is the Qur'an. Slash was talking about Aramaic.

Every human being is provided with free choice... even those of us that were re-programmed to be able to shoot another human being in cold blood because "they are bad guys". Its just not as easy for us as it is for the rest.

I think "re-programed" is definately not the right word to use - some people are just tougher than others.

The ultimate point is that more people have died in the name of a religion than any other cause. Seems like God has skewed the rules from the start, no?

It is not God that has screwed up the rule, It is our faults for the deaths caused by religion, God has no faults but man has many.

Then why did God bargain with Job? And why didn't he know about the serpent in the garden?
