Ok then why when I attack am I not getting any resources?

The ships come back just fine but no resources.

Ok newb question, why would I get no resources on a attack?

All my ships came back and the target lost one of his.

Does the 1/5th rule keep you from attacking or just make it so your attack yeilds nothing in resources?
