DT was on track for this technique almost a year ago. Only thing he did not know what would happen but was trying to get the RIPs diverted to a planets defence. Nobody answered him at the time though! But of course this way is better.

I too, agree with Shaftoe. The rules should be amended to address this issue.

The mercs too must be eligible for bashing same as the alliance for which they are employed and the damage counted.
In effect the mercs become part of the warring alliances.
