Ahh, is there some delay between abandoning a planet and the planet actually not being there anymore, or only if you abandon after a fleet is launched against it?

Lets say you do launch an attack on a planet before it is abandoned, then it is abandoned before the attack lands, sure there is a debris field, but how is there a combat report? Also, how would there be any addition to TD, since by the time the attack fleet arrives there is nothing to attack? Grant...
